BCT is first to win the ‘Wall Tile of the Year’ Award twice in a row. The all new 'Wet' Collection of wall tiles, designed by Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway exclusively for British Ceramic Tile (BCT) Ltd was selected as ‘Wall Tile of the Year’ at the Tile Association Awards. The collection is manufactured under licence by British Ceramic Tile in Devon. Chosen over new range launches from other leading manufacturers it was announced as the winner at an exciting ceremony at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham on Saturday 10th June. It is the first time that any company has won this coveted award twice in a row.
The judges were wowed by Wet, commenting that the range was “totally different, innovative and modern, whilst still being very usable.” They loved the clever way in which “stunning colour combinations and different textures were used to encourage creativity and enjoyment when styling the home.”
As a UK manufacturer and key player in the ceramic tile industry, BCT Ltd was thrilled to be the first company to win this important award for the second year running (having scooped the ‘Tile of the Year’ award in 2005 for their striking monochrome Satins range).
Continuing to drive design and consumer choice forward the Wet range has six designs to suit all rooms and has been fashioned to appeal to people with a sense of adventure, encouraging creativity and enjoyment when styling the home. It is priced to be an affordable, aspirational consumer product.
Madeleine Harrington, Marketing Director at BCT Ltd commented; “Gerardine and Wayne Hemingway are well known for their eclectic, accessible and forward thinking designs in the housing and home furnishings arena, and the Wet range does not disappoint. They understand that the need to express ourselves and stamp our personality on our surroundings is a choice that should be available to everybody.”
A comprehensive range of marketing and point of sale material including a consumer brochure and display stand is available to support the Wet collection.
