****Tiles are handmade and subject to variation of size, shape and color. We recommend that all tiles be laid out prior to installation in order to balance the range over the entire area. Very fine hairline cracks in the glaze (known as crazing) should be expected and may appear before, during or after installation. We believe each of these characteristics are desirable attributes and are inherent to our turn-of-the-century handcrafted production methods. Please inspect all tiles carefully prior to installation. Installation constitutes acceptance and we want to make sure you are happy with your tile.

Sealing
While Iron Gate Original Glazes conform to ASTM C650, this test does not guarantee against all staining. Care should be taken to clean and maintain tiles with a mild non-acidic and non-abrasive soap on a frequent basis. A high-quality penetrating sealer should be used to protect tiles from unwanted stains and make cleanup quick and easy. Sealing is critical for Crackle Glazes - otherwise crazing will show stains.
