New Zealand businesses can put themselves on the map

New Zealand businesses are quickly catching on to the combined power of online search engines and the country’s best-resourced maps at wises.co.nz.

After a move online a few years ago, Wises has gone from strength to strength as New Zealand’s preferred online mapping solution.

Quietly, the Wises free online maps service has been undergoing a major transformation during 2006, upgrading to a comprehensive business search engine.

CEO Dwayne Alexander says APN has been supporting New Zealand business for many years with Wises maps and UBD directories and the “self-service” online presence was the logical next step.

“The new wises.co.nz self-service proposition for business puts the brand at the forefront of technology, enabling all businesses, large and small, from Bluff to Cape Reinga, to literally put themselves on the map.

In a New Zealand first, wises.co.nz is stripping out the costs of creating, hosting and marketing your own online advert or microsite.

“The power is now in the hands of advertisers to build their own graphically rich advertisements – in a range of options from entry level to advanced,” says Mr Alexander.

Perhaps the biggest benefit to business comes in the website’s new interactive advert.
