[ Look of Firms ] United States International Trade Commission
The United States International Trade Commission(Commission) is an independent, quasijudicial Federal agency with broad investigative responsibilities on matters of trade. The agency investigates the effects of dumped and subsidized imports on domestic industries and conducts global safeguard investigations. The Commission also adjudicates cases involving alleged infringement by imports of intellectual property rights. Through such proceedings, the agency facilitates a rules-based international trading system. The Commission also serves as a Federal resource where trade data and other trade policy-related information are gathered and analyzed. The information and analysis are provided to the President, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), and Congress to facilitate the development of sound and informed U.S. trade policy. The Commission makes most of its information and analysis available to the public to promote understanding of international trade issues.
The mission of the Commission is to (1) administer U.S. trade remedy laws within its mandate in a fair and objective manner; (2) provide the President, USTR, and Congress with independent analysis, information, and support on matters of tariffs, international trade, and U.S. competitiveness; and (3) maintain the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS).

Formed in January 2000, the Tile Association represents all aspects of the wall and floor tile industry in the UK, from manufacture to supply and installation. The Tile Association provides product information and technical assistance to consumers and building professionals. It was the coming together of three well established national bodies; the tiling contractors 'association, NMTFA, the manufacturers' association, BCTC and the association for retailers and distributors, NTA. Tiles are all around us for everyone to enjoy. Ceramic tiles cover walls and floors, roofs and pavements, furniture and stoves, and can be seen in churches and mosques, pubs and shops, hospitals and homes. They are often combined with other forms of ceramics such as terracotta, faience and mosaic. The Tiles & Architectural Ceramics Society is for anyone interested in tiles and decorative ceramics related to buildings.
Tiles have a history stretching back more than one thousand years. In the 13th and 14th centuries Europe¡¯s churches were paved with decorated tiles. At the same time buildings in the Arab world were adorned with richly coloured tiles. Holland was an important centre for tiles in the 17th and 18th centuries and in the 19th century Britain pioneered mass-produced tiles. The 20th century has seen both a decline and a revival in tile-making. Tiles are now much collected and studied.
Since 1981 the Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society has served as Britain¡¯s national society responsible for the study and protection of tiles and architectural ceramics, uniting people with common interests. An international membership of individuals and institutions is drawn from the fields of museums, conservation, manufacturing (both industrial and craft) architecture, design, and antiques.

The Industrial Revolution pushed mass production to its limits and answered the need for "more" at a time when growth meant everything. Missing from
this period was the style and craftsmanship of the past. By the turn-of-the-century, the demand for cheap, mass-produced goods began to wane. This backlash sparked the Arts & Crafts movement and has served as the inspiration for The Meredith Collection.
Made of local stoneware clays, our tiles are hand-molded utilizing hand-carved molds and antique presses, just as they were 100 years ago. Our tiles are made-to-order utilizing any of our more than 40 glazes. When hand painting is requested, our artists hand-paint layers of glaze directly into the bisque using the antique method.
